On May 1, 2019, Dennis Jensen switched to the position as Terminal Supervisor at Jutlandia Terminal in Esbjerg.
Dennis started at Jutlandia Terminal in 2016, and has since worked as Project Coordinator in our agency, where he has worked with, among other things, project coordination, ship agency and acted as one-point-of-contact for several of our customers.
“The terminal has always had good contact to Dennis, so when the opportunity came, is made sense to unite Dennis’ competences from the agency with the terminal.
It is my conviction that Dennis in the position as Terminal Supervisor will strengthen the cooperation and understanding between the departments. As Dennis knows the systems and workflows, he has been able to enter the position relatively easy.
I welcome the new collaboration and see the shift as a confirmation of competencies in the company, departments in between”, says Peter Jensen, Operations Manager Terminal.
In the everyday life, the changes for Dennis is for one thing staff management with an increased focus on optimising internal processes, which is of great focus in the entire organisation. Dennis is now part of the group of supervisors at the terminal, and works like the additional terminal supervisors, as a coordinating link in the daily at an operational level.
“I accepted, as I could easily see myself in the position of Terminal Supervisor. There has always been good communication with the people at the terminal”, says Dennis Jensen, Terminal Supervisor.
“The position requires you to be able to keep several balls in the air, which suits me very well. There are several parallels to what I have previously worked with, which was also crucial for my yes.
I thrive in the ‘new’ environment, where I have come even closer to the operational part of the operations that the terminal handles, but at the same time, also project coordination and customer contact is part of my job.
The new position comes with many new challenges, which to me is a huge plus. It is a good challenge to be involved in the leading part of managing personnel, task division and supervision of completed operations”, Dennis concludes.
